Penggerak Belia Tempatan (PeBT) Sepang Municipal Council Session 2016 / 2018
BACKGROUND OF THE ESTABLISHEMENT OF PeBT
Penggerak Belia Tempatan (PeBT) was establish in accordance with the instructions of YAB Dato’ Menteri Besar in effort to develop youth in the state of Selangor.
The purpose of establishing PeBT is to plan and mobilize comprehensive youth development programs throughout the state of Selangor.
PeBT is also the State Government’s implementation machinery in implementing policies related to youth development and sports at the grassroots level.
The Chairman of the Zone-level PeBT is an individual who is elected and appointed by the Selangor State Youth Mobilizer. His role is as follows:
| i. | Chairing the meetings of the Local Youth Mobilizer at the Zone Level; |
| ii. | Appointing members of the Local Youth Mobilizer Working Committee at the Zone Level; |
| iii. | Planning programs that are beneficial to local youth; |
| iv. | Delivering information to youth on all announcements, implementation of projects and government activities; |
| v. | Forming networks and smart partnerships with local youth, associations and related bodies; |
| vii. | Attending any meetings/courses/programs that are mandatory for him. The Chairman must submit a letter of explanation if unable to attend and must be replaced with minutes to the Deputy Chairman of the PeBT at the Zone level only; |
| viii. | Ensure that the allocated allocation is used in accordance with government procedures; |
| ix. | Guide the youth so that they do not get involved in immoral activities and social problems; and |
| x. | Assist the youth who have the potential to progress by obtaining opportunities |
